An active listener, Dr. Williams encourages each patient to talk about their treatment goals. Just as much, he coaxes them into talking about their worries, too. He knows that truly understanding a person’s situation is essential to finding the treatment plan that works for them.
Dr. Williams knows some people have negative feelings about dental care. They may have had a bad experience in the past and now have dental anxiety, possibly putting off care for years. Instead of judging, Dr. Williams and his team unite to help these people.
Offering truly painless dental care, as well as sedation dentistry, Dr. Williams ensures no discomfort is experienced. Dr. Williams’ goal is to help people overcome their fears and develop a commitment to caring for their smiles!
Dr. Williams stays at the top of the cosmetic, sedation, and general dentistry fields. He pursues continuing education at every opportunity, completing many hours of coursework each year. He has attended the Las Vegas Institute of Cosmetic Dentists, one of the nation’s premier post-graduate training facilities; he was recognized for his outstanding achievements in the field of cosmetic dentistry. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Kois Center.
Oral healthcare is constantly evolving: the way dentistry was practiced ten years ago is vastly different than how it is practiced today. Advancements in technology, techniques, and materials all mean a better treatment experience and incredible results. By staying at the forefront of these changes, Dr. Williams makes sure his patients receive the best care for their smiles.
Dr. Williams has spent much of his life in San Diego. He and his wife, Tanya, have been married for more than 20 years. The couple has six children: Kyle, Bailey, Darby, Sophia, and their twins, Bella and Jake.
A true San Diegan, Dr. Williams loves time at the beach, especially surfing and swimming. He also enjoys supporting his children’s extracurricular activities.
Dr. Williams’ life has not always been easy. He has faced – and overcome – many challenges. Those experiences have given him great empathy for the struggles of others and a resolve to help people whenever possible.
In 1994, Dr. Williams biked 600 miles to raise more than $10,000 for St. Vincent de Paul’s dental program for the homeless.
In 1998, Dr. Williams leaped at the opportunity to support a national campaign for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. He helped create “Smiles for Life.” This program enlists dentists, across the country, to provide reduced-cost teeth whitening services. All money raised is donated to the Smiles for Life Foundation, which distributes the money to children’s charities!
